BOLZANO. Next week, November 10, La Valle residents are called to elect a new mayor and city council. President Arno Kompatscher underlines the importance of participation in these elections and invites all those who are eligible to vote.
The new elections became important after the death of the mayor of La Valle, Miribung Angelin a tragic mountain accident that occurred in Switzerland in July. Therefore, the provincial government was forced to dissolve the city council in accordance with regional regulations. Vice Mayor Felix Dapoz he continued to run the government until the election. “City Council elections are an important opportunity to play an active role in shaping the future of local communities. “Every voice counts to ensure that the concerns of City residents are heard and well represented,” Kompatscher stressed.
The Provincial President added that the high voter turnout is a strong signal for shared destiny and democratic cohesion in La Valle and throughout Alto Adige. “I warmly invite Wengen residents to exercise their right to vote and take responsibility for our municipality and province”, Kompatscher concluded.
