This also applies to the mental health of employees who see an increasing number of sick leave being issued due to mental and behavioral disorders. This group includes, among others: depression, schizophrenia, neurosis, anxiety disorders, personality disorders and reactions to severe stress.
Based on ZUS data, in 2023 the number of sick leave issued for this reason will increase by 8.7 percent compared to the previous year. In 2023, doctors issued more than 1.4 million sick leaves, which is 26 million sick days.
