European stock markets ended mixed trading amid Donald Trump's victory and political turmoil in Germany

Europe's major stock markets ended the day's trading mixed amid Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election and political turmoil in Germany, CNN reported. The decision of the Bank of England (the central bank of Great Britain) to reduce the main interest rate is also a concern for investors.

In Frankfurt, the DAX rose 323.31 points or 1.7 percent to 19,362.52.

Paris CAC 40 added 55.99 points or 0.76 percent to 7,425.6 points.

The FTSE 100 index on the London Stock Exchange fell 25.94 points or 0.32 percent to 8,140.74.

The pan-European Stoxx 600 rose 0.7 percent, with most sectors in the green. Shares of mining companies rose 3.9 percent, and shares of companies in the health and media sectors fell 0.4 percent.
