Fernanda Torres comments on Fernanda Montenegro's participation in I'm Still Here: 'Mother is the complement'

Traveling the world to campaign for an Oscar nomination with I'm Still Here, Globoplay's first Original feature film, Fernanda Torres has earned praise for her performances at various festivals and has won the award for Best Actress in an International Film from the Critics Choice Association, in the United States.

Now, after visiting so many countries, the time has come for the film to be seen by Brazilians, where it will premiere in cinemas this Thursday (7). At gshow, the actress talked about the production and her experience, once again, sharing work with her mother, Fernanda Montenegro.

“This film, wherever we go, people say: 'I felt some things I don't usually feel in the cinema'. This mother, family, father thing is very powerful. Everyone identifies and imagines himself in that place,” he said.

The actress was amused to recall that, during screenings of I'm Still Here at international festivals, the public was often shocked when Fernanda Montenegro appeared on stage for the first time: many people thought it was “an impressive work of characterization”.

“Mum is the icing on the cake, she's amazing. “Occasionally we work together and it's always good,” he concluded.
