A new Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered patch is now available for the PC version of the game, fixing certain issues and bringing performance and stability improvements.
Patch 1.1 focuses on introducing fixes that improve the experience, such as fixing audio issues for pre-rendered cutscenes, which should now have the same volume as gameplay, a bug that caused shadows to disappear or flicker in Meridian when played at ultrawide resolution, marker HUD for purposes not displaying properly with custom FOV, Steam Input improvements, and more. That official patch notes also mentions various user interface, performance, and stability improvements, which unfortunately haven't been fully detailed, as well as the team working on future patches that will further improve the remaster.
Long considered a controversial remaster, considering the original version was far from the old game, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is a worthwhile improvement over the PlayStation 4 release, which featured greatly improved visuals and perfect performance on PlayStation 5 and PC. While the game doesn't look anything like its sequel, Forbidden West, the remaster's visual improvements go a long way in closing the gap between the two games.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is now available on PC and PlayStation 5 worldwide.
