The film “O Auto da Compadecida 2” opens in theaters in December, and Humberto Martins is one of the names in the cast. In an exclusive video submitted to POP channelthe actor spoke about his character in the story, Colonel Ernani, who is trying to be re-elected as mayor of the fictional city of Tapeorá.
“Colonel Ernani represents a declining farming elite in the North East who, with the loss of livestock and water shortages, are feeling hopeless. He's a bad guy. He's evil,” said Humberto.

In the story, Colonel Ernani will compete with Arlindo – a character from Eduardo Sterblitchalso new to the cast. “Arlindo has been a direct opponent since he ran for mayor. There's this competition.” Humberto said.
“O Auto da Compadecida 2” presents an original and unprecedented story, different from the first film, which was based on the successful drama Ariano Suassuna. The script is João Falcao e Guel Arraeswho also signs the directions Flavia Lacerda.

Who else stars in “O Auto da Compadecida 2”?
This film brings it back Matheus Nachtergaele like João Grilo and Selton Mello like Chico, in addition to Virginia Cavendish like Rosinha and Enrique Diaz like Joaquin Brejeiro. Among the new features are Tais Araújo like Mother Mary, Luis Miranda such as Antônio do Amor and Fabiula Nascimento like Clarabelle.
The premiere is scheduled for December 25.
