David Luiz scores Flamengo's winning goal over Cruzeiro 1-0, in Belo Horizonte, in the Brazilian Championship. The results created at the start of the second half made Rubro-Negro return to the G-4 competition with 58 points. Until then, the 56-year-old Internacional managed to overtake the Cariocas after winning in the 32nd round.
Listen to Flamengo's goal:
Coach Filipe Luís only used a few starters in the match which was held at the Arena Independência. In fact, Mineirão did not host the duel because the show of North American singer Bruno Mars, was touring Brazil. In the four lines, which are considered the main ones, the Cariocas only have Rossi, Pulgar and Bruno Henrique. Due to suspension, the midfielder and striker were not on the pitch during the Copa do Brasil final, at the Maracanã.
Now, Flamengo is focusing all its attention on the second leg of the final against Atlético-MG. In the first leg, they won 3-1, with a good collective performance with their supporters. In other words, Rubro-Negro could lose by goal difference, at Arena MRV, Sunday (10), at 16.00, in Brasília, which would claim the fifth title in the knockout tournament.
