Overturned, explosion and fuel pipe fire on the Allende-Rosita highway, claiming one life

At least one person died, when a double semi-trailer transporting diesel overturned and caught fire, in the incident that occurred at around 05.30 this Thursday, November 7 this year, a few meters from the entrance of the Premier Highway, in the Allende-Nueva Rosita section.

Francisco Contreras Obregón, Civil Protection coordinator in the northern and coal regions, alleged that the accident occurred when the driver of the unit left the road and while trying to rejoin the asphalt line, he swerved and that's when the upper valves of the two tanks he was carrying opened and caused an explosion.

As a result of the above, traffic on the Premier Highway was closed during the maneuvers of the fire brigade responding to the scene, considering the complexity of the situation, because water could not be used to control the fire. So they use chemicals that suffocate him.

Several hours later traffic at that place was opened, please note that the accident occurred between the military checkpoint located at the former checkpoint at kilometer 53 and the Premier Highway toll booth; precisely in the body that leads from north to south and has been rehabilitated in the previous months.
