Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kośniak-Kamis and Czech Defense Minister today announced in a joint press conference that the two countries will strengthen their cooperation in the field of defense industry, Polish news agency PAP reported.
Košiniak-Kamish after his meeting with Jana Chernohova in Warsaw said that strengthening cooperation in the defense industry sector would also include sectors related to ammunition production.
“We are partners of NATO and the EU, but first and foremost, we are friends and neighbors. “We have intentions, we have the same position and we are working to strengthen cooperation between the Polish and Czech defense industries,” he added.
Instead, Chernokhova stated that Ukraine, as well as many EU and NATO countries, were facing ammunition shortages.
“When the war in Ukraine is over, we need to stockpile ammunition, as well as build factories to produce it in our country,” he added.
Today, the Czech defense minister is scheduled to visit Lask Air Base in central Poland.
