Acting Minister of Transport and Communications Krasimira Stoyanova and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Operating Officer of Škoda Transportation and Škoda Vagonka Petar Novotny will today sign an agreement for the supply of five electric motor trains, the ministry's press center announced.
The additional agreement is part of a contract signed at the beginning of September for the supply of 20 electric motor trains, which is expected to make it possible to order five additional trains. The Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Sofia, Miroslav Toman, will also attend the event.
The signing will take place at 09.30. in the Ministry of Transportation and Communications building.
“For the first time under the “Transport Connectivity” Program we will finance purchase of new railway facilities. On Thursday, we will sign an additional agreement with Škoda for five more electric motor trains, from the already completed contract of 20 trains,” said Acting Minister of Transport and Communications Krasimira Stoyanova at the Monitoring Committee of the Transport Connectivity Program 2021 – 2027, which took place on 4 November in Sofia.
