The temple holiday is celebrated tomorrow by the “St. Archangel Michael” monastery in Trna

“St. Archangel Michael” Monastery in Trna celebrates its temple feast day tomorrow. According to tradition, the celebration will end with a water drinking ceremony and the consecration of health offerings that will be donated by local residents. This was reported to BTA by Pastor Ignatius who has been serving at the church “St. Nicholas of Mirlikiyski” in the border town and in other churches in the spiritual environment.

Father Ignatius commented that in his service tomorrow before the laity he will talk about the importance of fasting for Christians, which is not only physical, but also spiritual.

“Wednesday and Friday are fast days, because on the first day our Lord was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, and on the second day – crucified on the cross. These are the two days, coinciding with Easter and Christmas Lent, established by the church,” said the father.

The new priest will work to strengthen spiritual life and the Orthodox faith in the border region. The intention was to make oil candles for the healing of illnesses, as well as visit the stone chapel “St. Petka” in Trun, serving an akathist to the saint for the health and salvation of the soul.
