Two people were injured and civil infrastructure damaged in Odessa due to a drone attack that lasted almost two hours. About 20 drones were involved in the attack. The attack started at around 22:30 and lasted until 00:48, a local Telegram channel reported, citing local authorities.
As a result of the falling debris from the falling drone, private houses were damaged, some of them caught fire. At one secondary school in Odessa, windows were broken and the building facade was damaged.
All emergency services are working on the ground and clearing the affected areas.
The number of Bulgarians in the Odessa region is more than 150,000 people and is the third largest number according to the official census in Ukraine in 2001. About 50-60 thousand Bulgarians live in the city of Odessa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolgrad, Izmail and Belgorod-Dniester regions.
