“We strongly condemn all forms of censorship of freedom of speech and the arts and attempts to prevent audiences from entering theaters,” wrote GERB on your Facebook profile on the occasion of a protest against the National Theater production of “Arms and the Man”.

Theater by definition is drama and provocation, the party added. “The Bulgarian audience is intelligent enough to appreciate the content and form of theatrical challenges, and should not interfere with its right to judge. “Especially if this is accompanied by an attack on the National Theater and the rights of its guests as spectators,” wrote GERB, adding that this formation is in favor of art, culture and pluralism.

Showtimes and prohibited works of art have not existed for 34 years, and our commitment as a political force is to ensure that this does not happen again, GERB added.
