Zelensky said North Korean troops fighting on the Russian side suffered losses in fighting with Kiev troops in the Kursk region

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that North Korean soldiers suffered losses in fighting with Kiev forces and that about 11,000 troops sent to Russia's Kursk region took part in the fighting, Reuters reported.

At a press conference during the European Political Community Summit in Budapest, Zelensky said he believed that if no retaliatory measures were taken, more troops from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) would be deployed on Russia's side.

Zelensky also said that talks to end hostilities in the war with Russia without first agreeing on security guarantees for Ukraine were “very dangerous”. “A ceasefire when there are no guarantees of security…is preparation for resuming the occupation,” he added.

At a press conference, the Ukrainian leader stated that he did not know the details of Donald Trump's plan to quickly end the war and that he had not discussed it with the US president-elect. According to Zelensky, Trump wants to end the war, but that doesn't mean it will happen.
