According to Seoul, a pro-Russian hacker group was responsible for the cyber attack on South Korea

Pro-Russian hacking groups recently carried out cyberattacks against South Korea after North Korea sent troops to Russia to support its war against Ukraine, the South Korean presidential office said, as quoted by Reuters.

The office called an emergency interdepartmental meeting following the detection of attacks that caused several government and private sites to lose service in recent days.

Some sites experienced temporary outages but no serious damage occurred, the office said, adding that the government would strengthen its ability to respond to such attacks.
