The man accused of kidnapping and raping a resident of Garopaba, on the southern coast of Santa Catarina, was arrested this Wednesday (6), in São Leopoldo, Rio Grande do Sul, according to the Civil Police, he has been on the run since July 26, when the incident occurred .

The victim was kidnapped and raped, taken to Itapirubá beach, in Imbituba. After the investigation, the Prosecutor's Office provided representation for the preventive arrest of the suspect which was carried out by the Imbituba Civil Police.
After the incident on July 26, the perpetrator fled the city and was in Rio Grande do Sul. On Wednesday (6), the Civil Police of the neighboring country received information that the fugitive was in a hospital in São Leopoldo, heading to the location. and make an arrest.
The man will be interrogated and the investigation will be completed within 10 days, after which the documents will be forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office for filing a complaint.
