Glitches – something you just bought doesn't work as promised. Fortunately, customers can then assert their rights. If a product is defective from the start, the defect is covered by the official guarantee. Even completely intact goods are considered defective if they do not meet the customer's purchase objectives. For example, if someone at the hardware store is promised glue that will stick to Styrofoam, they may then complain if the glue only sticks to wood. Defects also apply if the customer receives too little or the wrong item.
If the dealer has pointed out the defect at the time of sale, as is sometimes the case when selling used goods, the customer cannot complain. We explain what is considered a defect and what it causes.
