Denis Shapovalov from Canada and Hamad Medvedovic from Serbia qualified for the final of the ATP 250 tennis tournament in Belgrade with a prize fund of 572 thousand euros.

Shapovalov defeated Czech Jiri Lehechka 6:2, 6:1, and the match lasted less than an hour. The Canadian broke serve twice in the first set and twice more in the second as he led 5-0 before closing out the match on serve for 6-1.

In the Serbian match, young Medjedovic, who is ranked 156th in the world, won over compatriot Laszlo Jere 6:2, 3:6, 7:6 (2). This fight was much more closely contested and lasted almost 2 and a half hours.

Medzedovic took the first set with inspired play and two breaks, but Jere won his opponent's serve in the second at 4:2 and then equalized.

In the third set, both were perfect on serve, followed by a tiebreak where the 21-year-old Medzedovic had three mini-breaks to win the match and play for tomorrow's title.
