The head of the Spanish National Police's economic crimes department in Madrid has been arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking, money laundering and bribery, according to media reports. His wife, who is also a Policía Nacional officer, and 13 other people were also arrested in Wednesday's operation, state television station RTVE, El Mundo newspaper and other Spanish media reported, citing relevant authorities.
