Honor has started rolling out the first beta version of MagicOS 9.0, bringing some important improvements and new features, especially in the camera department. This update aims to improve overall device performance, ensuring a smoother and more efficient experience.

The first beta update of MagicOS 9.0 carries version number 9.0.0.116. This follows the launch MagicOS 9.0 in late Octoberwith the company quickly opening recruitment for its first closed beta. Eligible models include the Magic 6 series, Magic 5 series, Magic V3, Vs3, and V2 foldable devices.

If you are using one of the supported devices, you must be using base firmware version 8.0.1.173 or 8.0.1.172 to participate in the beta. Initially, only users who sign up for the testing program will receive the update. Others will have to wait for future releases.

Update 9.0.0.116 introduces several key features, including a zoom effect for the fan icon, as well as several adjustments to the camera interface. Other improvements include improvements to the YOYO Suggestions and Personal Space functions. In addition, MagicOS 9.0 optimizes the Car Connect feature, as well as navigation via Amap, making car-related tasks smoother. This update also brings smoother text fonts and stability improvements.
