This Friday, President Claudia Sheinbaum held a morning conference at the National Palace.

Sheinbaum stated that it was a “very friendly” call he had with President-elect Donald Trump, who even congratulated him on his win and the president responded to the gesture.
The border issue was mentioned, but Sheinbaum indicated there would be room to discuss it.
The former president also reminded him that he has a good relationship with his Mexican counterpart Andrés Manuel López Obrador to whom he sent greetings.
He also told him “see you later,” when responding to reports that he was invited by a Republican to his inauguration on January 20, 2025. Sheinbaum clarified that he had not received an invitation.
Later in the conference, Sheinbaum stated that he believed in a good relationship with the United States and that if there were problems, he stated “we will face them with dignity, with pride and knowing who we represent, which is our greatness. people and this great country that we have.”
