Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique said all his players were ready and planned to rotate for the championship match against Angers on Saturday, Reuters reported.
The team's disappointing performance in the Champions League continued with a home defeat to Atletico Madrid on Wednesday (1:2), with the Parisian side in a zone where they cannot advance in the tournament.
“The most important match is tomorrow. We will make changes,” the Spaniard told reporters. “I felt with a little rest I needed more players. Angers are a very motivated team. They defend well and create problems in transition with their wings. All my players are ready,” said Enrique.
PSG will be without Ecuadorian centre-back Willian Pacho, who has left for his homeland to join the national team.
PSG only scored 3 goals in 4 matches in the Champions League, but the team was the top scorer in the league with 29 goals.
“It's difficult after a game like this, emotions overshadow everything. The result shows everything in a negative light,” said the coach about the defeat. “How do I feel? Perfect. The harder the better. We know we have problems in finishing. We have to overcome them with confidence, by creating clean chances and collectively. This is the middle of a long journey and there will be ups and downs,” he warned .
