PSG's phase was not the best at European level. The team from the French capital is ranked 25th in the Champions League, having only achieved one win in the four matches played in the continental tournament.
PSG coach, Luis Enrique, held a press conference after Paris' 2 x 1 defeat to Atlético de Madrid in the heart of the Parc des Princes. The commander stated that the situation the team was facing was unfair to the fans.
“It's a very sad feeling, because I think they (fans) have provided support all this time. “We persisted until the last second, but it looks like a horror film, very unfair,” he complained.
Luis Enrique chose not to talk about the match, and limited himself to just saying that PSG was unlucky against Atlético de Madrid.
“At the moment, it is difficult to analyze a match like this, but the story is the same as the previous Champions League matches. Luck is not on our side. We are frustrated,” concluded the coach.
Currently, with 25th place in the Champions League standings, PSG will be eliminated from the knockout stages of the competition. Teams must be at least 24th to reach the play-offs.
