President Claudia Sheinbaum revealed that Donald Trump told her “see you later” during their phone call and that she sent greetings to former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
In the morning, Sheinbaum said that if an invitation were forthcoming, he would analyze attendance at the inauguration of Trump, the virtual winner of the US Presidency.
“The thing that came up was if he invited me to the inauguration and all that, he told me 'see you later,' meaning, see you later, I said yes, see you later,” Sheinbaum said. “It was a very, very friendly call and we were happy with it, and now things are going well.”
-Are you going to the inauguration?
“Let's see, no, I don't even understand, they have sent invitations because they just won, they are building a team, and there will be time,” he answered. The Mexican President emphasized that Trump sent greetings to AMLO. “He took this opportunity to ask me to send greetings to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, with whom he said he has a very good relationship.” Republicans talked to him about the border issue, but he told him there would be time to talk about that. “There were times when he raised the border issue, just like that. I told him, yes, there is a border issue, but there will be room to discuss it,” he added.
