The mayor of Torreón, Román Alberto Cepeda González, assured that his administration would end financially healthy, without debt and with enough resources to meet year-end commitments, such as bonus payments to city employees.
He highlighted that this year more than 600 million pesos have been invested in public works and without the need to enter into debt contracts, as everything has been covered by its own resources.
“For more than six months since commitments for major works were fulfilled, thanks to collection efficiency and gaining citizens' trust,” he said.
He also emphasized that there are sufficient resources to pay bonuses to workers, so this will not cause financial difficulties.
On the other hand, Román Alberto Cepeda assured that the members of the board will not be given an initial bonus, who will complete their duties at the end of next December.
“They didn't ask for it and they didn't allow it,” he said, emphasizing all economic efforts He is concentrating on his work and management programs, such as those that will be inaugurated in a matter of days, such as Costco Boulevard, “Casa Nana”, Municipal Justice Center and Giro Independencia.
