There is still no common ground to resolve the dispute with Türkiye over the continental shelf, the Greek prime minister said

There is still no common ground to resolve the dispute between Greece and Türkiye regarding the exclusive economic zone and continental shelf in the Aegean Sea and Eastern Mediterranean. This was expressed today by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in his comments meeting today in Athens between the foreign ministers of Greece and Türkiye, Yorgos Gerapetritis and Hakan Fidan, Sky TV reported.

Mitsotakis spoke to media in Budapest, where he was attending an informal European Council meeting.

However, the Greek Prime Minister noted that the two ministers' statements emphasized the positive atmosphere that can be built in bilateral relations, and that normality should be the goal in relations between neighboring countries. He stressed that despite the fact that a common basis for a solution has not been found, Athens and Ankara must maintain “calm” in their relations.
