Thousands of people have been urged to evacuate due to fires near Los Angeles, world agencies report.
The fire has so far destroyed dozens of homes and continues to spread through the hills northwest of the Los Angeles area.
The fire broke out Wednesday near the city of Camarillo. The fire occurred in an area inhabited by around 30,000 people.
The situation was made worse by hurricane winds with speeds of up to 130 kilometers per hour. This disaster threatened more than 3,500 homes and burned nearly 8,100 hectares of land.
Firefighters extinguished the fire with the help of a tanker helicopter.
