Both of them protest in front of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre ended without a hitch. People opposed to the production of “Guns and the Man”, directed by John Malkovich based on the text by Bernard Shaw, gathered in front of the theater. Other protests came from people who were unhappy with the tensions created by the drama.
Police had separated the two demonstrations, and guards were in place for those who had purchased tickets to the shows to enter the theater.

The mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, came to watch the performance. It is important to protest and express opinions, but in a civilized way, Terziev told reporters.
National Theater Director Vasil Vassilev and director John Malkovich congratulated those who gathered to support the production at the theater. Vasilev thanked the people for coming.
Yesterday there was tension in front of the National Theater because of the premiere of the productionby starting an investigation. The Sofia District Prosecutor's Office self-reported and initiated pre-trial proceedings.
