Emmerdale’s Tom King ‘exposed’ as two unlikely villagers ‘work out’ Belle’s abuse

It looks as though Emmerdale’s Tom King’s (played by James Chase) evil ways may finally get exposed by two villagers. On Friday night, ITV viewers saw Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) reach boiling point with her husband.

Confronting him at work, the pair were involved in a huge row as she scolded Tom for twisting the narrative to make his actions seem not a big deal. However, they were interrupted when Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) opened the door.

Embarrassed by the whole ordeal as his true colours started to show, Tom apologised he had to overhear their row. Visibly concerned, he seemed worried about Belle’s welfare as he replied: “So am I, are you alright?”

Before she had the chance the answer, Tom told Belle they should continue their discussion outside. Although Paddy looked on, clearly disturbed by the row he’d just heard.

However, it wasn’t just Paddy who caught a glimpse of Tom’s sinister side during the episode. Later on, the pair were in the middle of the village as Belle’s anger grew when Tom refused to carry on their conversation in public.

She reeled: “I’m sick of this, I’m sick of you. I hate you!”

Although, little did they know Vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) watched the whole situation unfold.

It’s no secret Charles isn’t Tom’s biggest fan as he lashed out at him a few weeks ago in the Woolpack.

Are Paddy and Charles catching on to Tom and how he’s been treating Belle over the past few weeks behind closed doors?

It wasn’t long before viewers shared their thoughts on the episode as some believed Tom’s manipulative ways would get figured out by Paddy and Charles.

Taking to Twitter, @ElaineAdu_Poku said: “So Paddy overheard the conversation and said alright to Belle. I hope as he’s a Dingle he will enforce the nonsense Dingle court and kick Tom to the kerb.”

@KWMadhead94 commented: “Charles/Paddy or Suzy are going to figure/find out what type of man Tom really is.”

@_ellielou97 added: “Glad Paddy overheard that argument, he’ll pick up something’s wrong and help Belle out.”

@HayleyG_OBE tweeted: “I read that an unlikely person catches on to what he’s doing, so I reckon it could be Padders.”

With @LeroyStHillwell commenting: “Go on Charles. Bounce his bounce off the bar again. And again.”

Later on, Belle returned to see Tom at work as she tried to make up with her husband, unable to see how manipulative he was.

Trying to move past the situation, she said: “I know my family can be full on and what’s normal for me might be weird for you.

“I know that you’re sensitive, I’m saying that it’s my fault, I overreacted and I’m sorry. I love you, you know I do.”

Although turning things around, Tom told his wife that since they got married she’s changed and is always attacking him and he threatened to leave.

However, after she begged him to stay he cancelled the stay and the pair embraced as he had a sinister smile on his face, knowing he’d won.

Emmerdale continues weekdays on ITV from 7:30pm.
