Singer Tyka Nelson, sister of one of the biggest names in the pop world, singer Prince, died at the age of 64, this Monday, the 4th. The news was confirmed by the singer's cousin, Charles “Chazz” Smith and representatives of the singer's brother.
There is no information regarding the cause of death of the artist who has been absent from the stage since 2018.
Tyka started his career in 1988, with the release of the album Royal Blue. In 1992, the singer released Yellow Moon, Red Sky e New Me. His last album was Hustler, in 2011.
Tyka had planned a retirement concert in June last year, but the event was canceled due to the singer's health problems. “I'm getting older. I'm not really a singer. I'm a writer. I also happen to be able to sing. I love singing,” he told the Minneapolis Star Tribune at the time.
