More than 3,200 victims of human trafficking have been rescued in several different countries in global operations by the international criminal police organization Interpol, according to Interpol in the newsletter.

According to the release, this was the largest anti-trafficking operation in Interpol's history, carried out in more than a hundred countries and territories. Finland was also mentioned in the announcement in the list of countries participating in the operation.

In total, more than 2,500 people were arrested in the operation, 850 of whom were charged with direct links to human trafficking or migrant smuggling. Authorities found a total of nearly 18,000 immigrants who had arrived illegally.
