In a survey released by Ibope Repucom last Tuesday (5), Flemish people adding an unprecedented 60 million followers on Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok and YouTube, guaranteeing the position of the most followed Brazilian club on social media.
In October alone, the Rio team saw 463K new signups, with Instagram and X standing out among the rest of the network with 296K and 37K new followers respectively. The research also shows that Fla experienced a digital base growth of 21% in the last two years.
To put the rapid growth into perspective, as of October 2022, Rubro-Negro had 50 million followers on its platform. Two years later, 10 million fans began following the Rio team.
Atlético-MG is in second place in this regard, with 233 thousand new followers across all networks. In third place is Corinthians with the addition of 211 thousand fans, followed by Palmeiras (+165 thousand), and Vasco closing the top 5 positions with 135 new members on digital platforms.
