The dam in the Razgrad region is half full, and water supply for drinking and household needs in the region is through wells and boreholes, the regional administration's chief expert, Nikolay Atanasov, told BTA. He pointed that out too body of water in the district area is in good technical and operational condition, none of which is in emergency or pre-emergency condition. “There are no dams in the Razgrad region that provide water for drinking and household needs. “All water bodies are used for fish farming and irrigation,” the expert said.

Atanasov noted that all settlements in the Razgrad region are provided with drinking water and there is no danger of implementing water systems or other water supply problems. He recalled that during the summer months in some settlements in the district there were water supply regimebut that has been resolved. As the main problem of water shortage in the region, the expert points to amortized water supply networks and gaps in the work of water supply operators.
