Employers cut costs at the expense of employees

This conclusion is based on the latest report of the National Labor Inspectorate “Compliance with working time provisions and payment of working wages in 2021-2023”, which was discussed yesterday by the Parliamentary State Oversight Committee.

The number of detected violations related to working time recording is increasing (percentage of detected violations: 2021 – 30%, 2022 – 31%, 2023 – 47%). This includes, for example, noting the start and end times of work in the documentation. In 2023, PIP also sees a significant increase in deviations in determining employee work time schedules and information (2021 – 13%, 2022 – 14%, 2023 – 25%). Companies are also increasingly not providing employees with the daily and weekly rest time they need.
