The Serbian team of the Bulgarian national team Cody Miller-McIntyre Red Star was fined a total of 74,500 euros by the management of Euroleague basketball for men, informs the local publication sportskacentrala.com.
The sanctions for Red Star were imposed on seven points of the tournament's Disciplinary Regulations, following the visit of Lithuania's Zalgiris and subsequent hosts Greece's Panathinaikos.
American player with Bulgarian passport Miller-McIntyre was not among the competitors fined, but teammates Nemanja Nedovic, Luka Mitrovic and Nikola Kalinic were hit with sanctions of 10,000, 7,000 and 5,000 euros respectively.
The main reasons were comments about the work and treatment of the referee in the match against Zalgiris on October 30, as well as the behavior of the Serbian team fans during the home match against Panathinaikos two days later.
Red Star lost to Zalgiris with 84:86, and against Panathinaikos suffered defeat with 77:81.
