Three people have been charged in connection with the death of One Direction singer Liam Payne, the world body reported citing authorities in Argentina.
Payne fell from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires last month. The death of the 31 year old artist shocked the world and raised questions about the accident he experienced.
The 911 call was made by a hotel employee who said Payne was acting aggressively the day of the tragedy and may have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
An autopsy of the singer's body showed traces of alcohol, cocaine and the antidepressant medication he was prescribed in his body when he died, the Argentine prosecutor's office announced today.
Those charged in the case include a drug dealer, a hotel employee who may have supplied Payne with cocaine, and someone close to the singer. The three defendants played a role in making Paine consume drugs and then leaving him helpless. The prosecutor's office did not release the names of the three defendants.
