Redmi K80 Pro will be a performance beast, teaser reveals

Redmi General Manager Wang Teng has teased the upcoming K80 series today, showing that the K80 Pro beats two unnamed competitors in China's favorite benchmark.

The Redmi phone scored 3,016,450 points on AnTuTu, while the other two scored 2,832,981 and 2,738,065, so they all had very strong performances but the winner was clear.

According to previous rumors, the Redmi K80 Pro will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC and the vanilla K80 will use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 instead.

Redmi executives also hinted that the K80 Pro will be cheaper than OnePlus 13which starts at CNY 4,499 (about $630). For reference, note that the K70 Pro launched at CNY 3,299 ($460), but price increases are expected this year especially for flagship devices with increased chipset prices.

The manager also explained that there won't be a K80E this year, but why is there one three family members just got certified? That remains a mystery for now.

The Redmi K80 series will be available later this month. The K80 and K80 Pro will have the same “2K” 120 Hz 6.67-inch flat display, as well as IP68 dust and water resistance. The Pro is rumored to have 120W wired and 50W wireless charging support, while the vanilla model will have to make do with 90W and 30W respectively.
