The state government led by Evelyn Salgado Pineda through the State Tourism Secretariat is diversifying tourism products to promote sports tourism internationally and strengthen Guerrero's image in the world as well as improve the economy at the local level.
The natural attraction of Guerrero is a venue for international sporting events, which is also an important part of the recovery strategy of Acapulco, the destination of choice for holding major competitions.
In the remainder of 2024, Acapulco will have an interesting sporting agenda that includes events such as the Tour del Sol on November 24, the 13th edition of the Papagayo Bike Marathon 2024 on December 8, L'Étape Acapulco Tour de France on December 15, Iroman 70.3 Acapulco on December 1, Mexico Major Premier Padel from November 25 to December 1 1st Gran Trail Acapulco on the 24th November and Acapulco Beach Soccer Pasión en la Arena on December 13, 14 and 15
Meanwhile in the Magic City of Taxco de Alarcón on November 9, the Urban Trail Taxco Nocturno 5KM will take place.
