Dystopia has been sold everywhere since Trump won the US election

Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election has renewed interest in Margaret Atwood's “The Handmaid's Tale” and other dystopian works, the Associated Press reports.

Atwood's book about women in a deeply oppressive world is once again climbing the rankings on Amazon. The book was also popular during Trump's first term as US president.

George Orwell's “1984” and Ray Bradbury's “Fahrenheit 451” are now also in demand. Both are in the Amazon Top 40.

Another best-selling book from Trump's previous tenure in the White House is in the top 10 bestsellers, and that is Timothy Schneider's On Tyranny: 20 Lessons from the 20th Century.

Books by Trump supporters also sell well. Future First Lady Melania's memoir was number one on Amazon's list, and Trump's Vice President J.D. Vance's A Province Elegy was in the Top 10. Rounding out the Top 30 is a book of Trump photos, titled “Saving America.”
