Salvador, with the world's second-largest navigable bay, has attracted more attention and investment focused on maritime tourism, a sector that includes activities from marina operations to gastronomy, culture and technology. This year, the city has received 77 foreign ships from 33 countries, an increase of more than 50% compared to 2023%.
This Thursday (07), emphasized the importance of this sector, Mayor Bruno Reis participate in the official opening Salvador Boat ShowAlready Bahia Marina. On that occasion, the manager announced this intends to implement a municipal public marinawith the prospect of increasing the segment and increasing job creation.
Apart from the construction of a public marina, Bruno stated that there were a series of measures to encourage maritime activities. “We are trying to attract shipyards that can come and produce ships in Salvador. To achieve this, we have a series of tax incentives”he highlighted.
The Boat Show will be held until Sunday (10), always from 14.00 to 20.00, with around 30 boats on display.
