The next court hearing in the case of the accident on July 20 last year on the Pleven-Lovech road, which killed three people, is scheduled for December 17. This was conveyed by the District Court press center, after the second trial took place today.

The accident that killed three people occurred on the evening of July 20, 2023. on the street Pleven – Lovech. The collision occurred between the car driven by Gabriel T., the defendant in the case, and the motorbike driven by Tsvetomir Lakov. In addition to Tsvetomir, the passenger of his motorbike, Stella Ivanova, died in the accident, as well as a passenger in the passenger car – Nayden.

Today, the defendant provided an explanation of what happened, and his attorney filed a request for further evidence. To be able to collect the requested evidence, the case needs to be postponed, the court added.

At yesterday's meeting, all witnesses present were questioned and heard the testimony of the appointed examination expert. And today, as well as yesterday before the trial began, relatives and friends of the three dead victims gathered in front of the Court building in Pleven demanding a fair sentence for the defendant in the case.

Currently the defendant is still in custody.
