Knitwear made by the late Trenchan woman Raina Radkova (Lala) is displayed in an exhibition

A knitting exhibition with the name “Rangelovden” (Archangelovden) opened in Trun. The author of this craft is the late local resident Raina Radkova (Lala).

The idea for the exhibition was at a community center in a border town. The knitting was provided by the granddaughter of the late woman – Zhaneta Solarova. In its exposition you can see handmade tablecloths, plaids, towels, tea towels, etc.

“These were things that were used at home. We were a very close-knit family, and my grandmother was a strong person. She came from a large and famous family of thorns – the Baikushevi”, recalls descendant Raina Radkova.

“From all this beauty radiates the comfort and warmth of home. Looking at these delicate and beautiful tablecloths, Tishlifer and mileta, we feel her love of beauty, we get lost in the magic of knitting, which requires hands and precise workmanship. It is an honor for our community center to display this beautiful and sacred exhibition, preserved in its original form, so that our younger generation and children can see what beauty this dignified trunchanka creates,” said the chairman of the People's Community Center “Gyurga Pindjurova 1895” at the opening exhibition. Sashka Ivanova.

The late woman's granddaughter, Zhaneta Solarova, commented that she was showing a small part of her grandmother's knitwear, which for many years had been an integral part of her childhood.
