The German Chancellor today condemned the violence committed against Israeli supporters during a football match in Amsterdam and defined the act as unacceptable, France Presse reports.
“Reports of violence against Israeli football fans in Amsterdam are appalling. We cannot accept this,” the German Chancellor said via the social network X.
“Jews should feel safe in Europe. “Whoever attacks Jews is attacking all of us,” added Scholz, quoted by Reuters.
Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog, on the other hand, described what happened as an “anti-Semitic pogrom”, according to AFP.
