At least 26 people, including four medics, were killed today in Israeli attacks in Lebanon, Reuters reports.
At least 12 people were killed in an Israeli attack on a civil defense center in the eastern Lebanese city of Baalbek, the governor of the province of the same name said. He added that rescue operations are currently underway.
Eight more people, including five women, were killed and 27 people were injured in another Israeli attack on a Lebanese town, the health ministry said today.
The department added that in another Israeli attack today – on the Arab village of Salim in the south of the country – six people, including four medics, were killed.
Meanwhile, US Ambassador to Lebanon Lisa Johnson presented Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabi Berri today with a proposed ceasefire to end armed confrontation between the Shiite Hezbollah movement and Israel, a senior Lebanese politician told Reuters.
