British musician Liam Payne died at the age of 31. Police confirmed this Wednesday that former members One Way died in a hotels in Buenos AiresArgentina.
“Liam James Payne, composer and guitarist, former member of the band One Directiondied today after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Palermo,” local police wrote in a statement.
Alberto Crescenti, director of the emergency medical services of the city of Buenos Aires, explained that he fell because “the very serious injuries it caused immediate death.”
Grupo Clarín's Todo Noticias television channel stated that police were investigating whether the musician committed suicide or an accident.
This media stated that this afternoon police from Precinct 14B went to a hotel in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo after receiving a report about a man who was suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol and behaving aggressively.
“At 17:04 to 911 we were notified of someone being on the internal terrace of the CasaSur hotel. A few minutes later, a local team from SAME arrived and confirmed the death of the man who we later learned was from the music group. He had injuries incompatible with life as a result of the fall,” Crescenti told Todo Noticias.
