Clubs from the Brazilian Football League (Libra) met with Ferran Soriano, CEO of Grupo City, to discuss the topic of the future of Brazilian football.
The national calendar, the financial fair play model, the formation of a club league in Brazil and the broadcast rights panorama were some of the points discussed.
Soriano discussed his experience with the teams that are part of the City Group in various countries, highlighting aspects of the continued growth of football leagues. Currently Libra consists of 12 clubs. They are: Atlético-MG, Bahia, Brusque, Flamengo, Grêmio, Guarani, Palmeiras, Paysandu, Red Bull Bragantino, Santos, São Paulo and Vitória.
Apart from football, the CEO highlighted other aspects of sport that he considers important to strengthen clubs' competitiveness, increase engagement with fans and expand business opportunities.
