The museum in Razgrad enriches its funds with new donations

The Regional Historical Museum in Razgrad has enriched its funds with a new donation, the cultural institution announced.

The contribution was from Yordan Strangev, born 1940. Until his retirement, he worked as a construction technician at the Agricultural Design Organization in Razgrad. His father, Petar Vassilev Strangev, was an artist at the Veliko Tarnovo Theatre, and his mother, Ginka Ivanova Fileva, was a seamstress.

Yordan Strangev presented the museum with a photo from 1950 – the moment of participation of workers in a sewing cooperative in the March 8 demonstration. In the photo is his mother Ginka Fileva. The second is a general photo of neighbors in the “Keremedchelika” neighborhood and dates from 1955/56. The third photo was taken from the mosque tower. The museum has a similar photo, but it was taken a dozen years earlier, and therefore this photo perfectly complements the funds in the “Recent History” department, the cultural institution said.

Yordan Strangev and his wife received a donation certificate and a symbolic gift from museum director Tanya Todorova.

This is another donation in the initiative announced by the Regional History Museum in Razgrad “To the donors with gratitude”.
