A woman was killed and at least two people were injured after a rocket and drone attack in Odessa, Oleg Kiper, chairman of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, announced via the Telegram app.
More than 10 drones and 2 missiles attacked Odessa between 21:18 and 22:40, informs the local channel on “Telegram”.
Damage occurred to residential buildings in the city center, churches, cars, according to the regional governor's announcement. One of the main heating pipes in the city was damaged, as a result of which one of the boiler plants was forced to stop.
Fire occurs where the target is hit. All emergency services are working to eliminate the impact of the attack.
The number of Bulgarians in the Odesa region is more than 150,000 people and is the third largest according to the official census in Ukraine in 2001. In the city of Odesa itself there live around 50-60,000 Bulgarians. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolgrad, Izmail and Belgorod-Dniester regions.
