On the square in the center of Pristina, today posters appeared with the image of the newly elected American President Donald Trump and the former White House envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Richard Grenell, KosovaPress reports.
The poster depicting Trump and Grenell reads “Make Kosovo Great Again”, mimicking Trump's slogan “Make America Great Again”.
Grenell was a key figure in the Trump administration during his first term as president (2017-2021), recalled the newspaper “Koha ditore”. Grenell negotiated what is now known as the “Washington Agreement for the Normalization of Economic Relations” between Kosovo and Serbia.
During his tenure, Grenell came into conflict with the government of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, the publication recalled.
Similar posters also appeared in Serbia todaybut it says “Make Serbia Great Again” and next to the newly elected US president is the face of billionaire Elon Musk, who supports him.
Donald Trump won the US presidential election on November 5.
