Sofia Vergara, 52, has a new puppy. The actress carried a chihuahua in her bag while taking a walk in Los Angeles (USA), Monday (11). Amore is the artist's new partner, as she had to give up her chihuahua Bubbles to Joe Manganiello in his divorce.
Vergara was determined to fight for custody of 11-year-old Bubbles, but gave up. According to the Page Six website, the animal tends to prefer to live with the actor.
“Not in a million years will Joe be separated from his dog Bubbles, and Sofia is well aware of that. “Neither of them are upset or want revenge, and Sofia loves Bubbles and wants her to be happy, which is why she's letting Joe get custody,” a source told the Daily Mail.
Under California state law, pets are considered personal property when a couple separates. However, after a new law was passed in 2019, judges mediating divorces can now consider the animal's welfare and can establish joint custody arrangements at their discretion.
